does disneyworld offer discount tickets to Veterans?

Hello, Mary, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Walt Disney World Resort is happy to offer 4-Day or 5-Day Military Promotional Tickets to both active and retired members of the U.S. Military with valid military ID. If the veteran in question is retired and in possession of a DD Form 2 (Retired or Reserve Retired), DD Form 1173 or 1173-1, or a DD Form 2765, they can purchase the Military Promotional Tickets from their local military base or from the Shades of Green ticket office. You can call or visit your local base’s MWR/ITT ticket office for more information.

The 2019 Military Promotional Tickets must be purchased and used before December 19, 2019. In addition to discounted tickets, active and retired members of the U.S. Military may also be eligible for discounted stays at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels as well as a discounted Memory Maker, too!

If the veteran does not qualify as officially retired from the U.S. Military, they may still qualify to stay at Shades of Green in January or September as a part of its annual “Salute to Our Veterans” program.

As you begin to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please don’t hesitate to come back with additional questions, Mary! We’re happy to help.
