Hi Silvana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It sounds like you have a wonderful send-off planned for your daughter! What better way to celebrate than at Walt Disney World Resort? Being able to share the fun with your family makes the occasion even more special!
Residents of the Sunshine State are eligible to
purchase specially priced tickets. All guests 18 and older will need to show
proof of Florida residency, such as a Florida driver's license or state I.D., in order to activate their ticket. So unfortunately, your Florida family members will not be able to share their discount with anyone who is not a Florida resident.
As three of my four children have chosen to go to college out-of-state, believe me, I have researched residency requirements! In most states, moving primarily for the purpose of attending college does not fulfill the requirement for residency. However, if your daughter will be making Florida her permanent address and can provide proof of residency as described above, she can qualify for Florida resident tickets. She might also want to check with her school's student ticket office. Some Florida colleges and universities offer discounted Walt Disney World tickets exclusively for students.
Be sure to check out the
Special Offers page to see if there are any other discounts that might apply to your upcoming visit. Please feel free to visit the Moms Panel again if you have any additional questions as you
plan your visit.
Congratulations to your daughter as she continues her studies. Enjoy your family trip!
