Where at in Disneyworld can we get hair braiding done? We do not want the princess boutique or mermaid package. Is there somewhere that we can do just the hair braiding at Disney? Is there more than one location that offers this service? Thanks,

    Hi Jessica,

Hair braiding is popular at some destinations visited by the Disney Cruise Line, buy it's not something that's common at Walt Disney World. The only place that I know of that will do hair braiding is the Ivy Trellis Salon at the Grand Floridian. You could reach the Salon via the Grand Floridian switchboard at (407) 824-3000. Reservations will be necessary for this service.

While hair braiding is hard to find at Disney World, you'll see many places in the parks and resorts that do hair wrapping. Hair wraps involve taking small sections of hair and wrapping them with colorful thread. Beads can be added at the ends of the strands. This is available at the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney as well as at the Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans resorts. You can see photos of the wraps on the independent website TouringPlans.com at http://blog.touringplans.com/2012/10/11/hair-wraps-at-walt-disney-world/ (copy/paste the link into your browser).

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We're happy to help.
