Hi Hannegan!
We are so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question!
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is on my bucket list, and I am so excited you are planning to experience Magic Kingdom Park from a historical (and magical!) perspective. The first tours of the day typically begin right when the park opens, give or take. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel or select Disney Springs resort, you can participate in
Early Theme Park Entry, in which case you can begin entering Magic Kingdom at 7:30 and have time to grab a coffee at
Main Street Bakery or take a photo in front of Cinderella Castle before starting the tour.
The history of Magic Kingdom is fascinating, and this tour will not disappoint! Enjoy walking around with your group, listening to audio explaining different spots, and having fun visiting the famous "Utilidors" area! Learning about the magic created by Walt Disney and brought to life by his brother Roy E. Disney will be so much fun. During the opening of Walt Disney World in 1971, Roy said, "Walt Disney World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney, and to the talents, the dedication, and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney's dream come true."
Hannegan, thank you for stopping by planDisney! Reach out again if you need additional pixie dust to plan your visit. We are happy to help!
Choose Magic!
