Disneys Fort wilderness lodge vs. Disneys Animal Kingdom lodge...which is better?

    Hi Emily!

Our family has had the great fortune to stay at both the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Wilderness Lodge. These are two of our favorite resorts! You can't go wrong with either choice - but if I have to choose just one resort, I'd pick Wilderness Lodge.

For an animal lover, nothing can beat the Animal Kingdom Lodge. There aren't too many other places where you can see giraffe, wildebeest and zebras from your hotel room! Even those in non-savanna view rooms can enjoy the many common areas with wonderful views. There are also quite a few children's activities which would be perfect for kids. There are African stories told fire-side and an African music parade complete with musical instruments. The pool area is also wonderful and features a zero-entry area that kids love to play in. Transportation to and from all parks will be via buses.

The Wilderness Lodge is also a wonderful resort! Featuring many of the same benefits as the Animal Kingdom Lodge, this resort has a Pacific Northwest theme - complete with totem poles stretching nearly to the ceiling. Activities here often feature cookie decorating and movies on the beach at night. Transportation to the Magic Kingdom will be via boat and other parks can be reached by bus.
