Hi Patricia! I remember how proud I was to wear my very first pair of Mickey ears when I was a little girl, so I definitely have a special fondness for those hats! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, Disney did release a special edition of the Mickey ears. These ears are sold out online, but you can see what they look like by clicking
here. These special edition ears cost approximately $16.95, and I did confirm that they're still available for purchase in the Magic Kingdom. Both Disney Merchandise Services and I tried multiple times to contact The Chapeau shop in the Magic Kingdom to find out whether these particular ears can be embroidered, but I'm sorry to say that we haven't been able to confirm that information for you. If your daughter wants her name embroidered on them, she can certainly ask at The Chapeau during your December trip. However, I think it's possible that the embroidery may not show up well due to the printed design on these ears, and for that reason, this pair of ears may not be well-suited for embroidery.
Thanks so much for visiting me again at the Moms Panel Patricia! I'm always happy to help, so please don't hesitate to bring me more of your Disney trip-planning questions!
