Welcome to planDisney, Razmik!
Thanks for coming to us with your question. Do you have a full set of Mandalorian Armor? Impressive... most impressive! It must have taken quite some time to collect enough beskar for your suit. And that's awesome that you not only scored tickets for
Star Wars Nite but also on May The Fourth! You're going to have a fantastic time and you'll be in good company.
As you stated, the
Costume Guidelines say that full helmets are not allowed. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face and the eyes are visible. I asked a Cast Member about simply bringing the helmet into the event without donning it, as an accessory to your costume. They responded that it would be up to security but that it would likely be considered a mask and not allowed into the party. Regarding armor, it is allowed but it might take you longer to get through security.
I had a similar experience last year for Oogie Boogie Bash where my friend fashioned Venetian masks on a stick but they were still considered masks even though we were not going to use them, so we had to discard them prior to entering the event. I wouldn't want that happening to your helmet, so my recommendation would be to leave it just in case.
They haven't announced anything specific yet for this year, but given last year's
food offerings, you're going to be in for a treat! Be sure to follow Star Wars at the Disney Parks on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest information. Don't forget that you can enter the Park as early as 6 p.m. and that all
Disney PhotoPass pictures are included!
I hope you found this helpful, Razmik. Please feel free to write back to
me or any of my crew members at planDisney with further questions. If you do decide to go as a Mandalorian without your helmet, I wish you the best of luck as you attempt to bathe in the Living Waters of the Mines of Mandalore!
This is the Way.
