Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Sandra!
A warm welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited that you’re planning a trip to Disneyland this month! With all the changes over the years, I understand how it can feel a bit overwhelming. But, Sandra, you’re in for some amazing surprises and lots of fun!
One of the first things I recommend is downloading the
Disneyland Mobile App. It's incredibly useful for scanning tickets, checking wait times, and even ordering food and drinks on the go. This will save you tons of time so you can focus on what really matters—having fun!
Don’t forget to check out the
Hours & Events Calendar. It’s packed with all the entertainment scheduled during your visit. Perfect timing to see what’s happening next week!
Now Sandra, as someone who visited Disneyland as a kid in the '80s and '90s, I can tell you that the parades and nighttime spectaculars are just as
Wonderous as ever—no reservations needed! I still remember sitting on the curbs of Main Street, U.S.A., eagerly waiting for the parade, hoping to catch a glimpse of my favorite characters. Now, I find myself doing the same thing with my two little princes, waiting 20-40 minutes early to see the “
Magic Happens” parade, just like I did as a kid.
As for the nighttime spectaculars, I’d suggest spending some time saving a spot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. But here’s a little secret: I like watching from the esplanade in front of “
it’s a small world”. It’s more spacious, and my little ones don’t get as startled by the fireworks, but we still get to see the story unfold in the beautiful light projections!
I hope this helps you feel more at ease, Sandra! I can tell you’re a Mouseketeer at heart, and I just know you’re going to have a blast reliving those old memories and making some new ones too. If any more questions pop up as your trip gets closer, don’t hesitate to
reach out to me again. I’m always here to help.
Your pal,
Danielle
