Hi and welcome to planDisney, Debbie! Both
Disneyland and
Disney California Adventure have so much to offer, so I completely understand wanting to experience both parks in one day.
Adding the
Park Hopper option to your ticket is an excellent way to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the attractions, entertainment or dining options both parks have to offer. Thankfully, this is incredibly easy to do! Simply call the
Tickets line and speak with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to assist you with upgrading your ticket. As a tip, make sure your payment information is up-to-date in your MyDisney account, as you will need to pay the difference while on the phone. Once you’ve spoken with the Cast Member, your tickets will automatically be upgraded to Park Hoppers. You’ll be all set!
I also want to share a
great tip from my fellow panelist, Tiffany: once the Park option has been added to your ticket, you do not need to make a second park reservation. Theme park reservations are only required for the first park you visit each day. After 11 a.m. (hours subject to change), you’ll be able to visit the second park and hop between parks as often as you like, assuming they haven’t reached capacity.
If you are visiting Disney California Adventure on January 29th, then I have a Q-Tip for you! The
Lunar New Year Festival will be in full swing during your visit, and I highly recommend checking out all it has to offer. Be sure to grab a delicious item from one of the six
food booths, featuring treats, savory dishes, and drinks inspired by Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions. Don’t forget that you can purchase a
Sip and Savor pass, which includes six digital coupons to use. Finding a table along Paradise Bay and enjoying a few tasty treats is a fantastic way to spend the afternoon!
Debbie, if you have any other questions about planning your upcoming trip to Disneyland, please visit us again at planDisney. Enjoy your magical day exploring both Disneyland Resort parks!
Have an amazing trip!
David
