Does Disneyland still show the Christmas fireworks and Christmas parade the first week of January? We would like to go to Disneyland for Christmas, but the only time we can go is January 1 through January 4.

Welcome to planDisney, Leanne! I ho-ho-hope you're having a magical day. Thanks for stopping by with this holly-jolly question because I'm a huge fan of the holidays at Disneyland Resort. I visited this past season, which honestly changed my life! Disney magic is special, but Disney holiday magic? You have to experience it to believe it. Seeing the overlay on "it's a small world" Holiday with some of my dearest friends is a core memory. So, let's pour a glass of eggnog and see what we can learn about this year's holiday season.

Leanne, I'm a planner, too, so I understand getting your nutcrackers in a row well in advance. Unfortunately, it's still too early to know specifics for the upcoming holidays at the parks. But I used some elfin ingenuity and discovered that last year's holiday announcement came in August. So we should both be watching the Disney Parks Blog for that festive schedule to drop in just a few months. And if we look at last year's dates, the holiday festivities started in mid-November and ended around January 8. Of course, there's no guarantee this year's schedule will be the same, but that gives us a general idea, and it would mean good news for your visit!

I'm sending snowflakes and pixie dust, so your holiday trip will be full of cheer and wonder, Leanne. Please feel free to stop by planDisney with any questions; I'll leave some twinkling lights on for you.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
