We are going to be at Disneyland parks the week after Christmas, including New Years Eve. Which dining package would you recommend between Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace and Plaza Inn for viewing the fireworks (if they're not canceled for weather)?

Hello again, Emmicah, and welcome back to planDisney!

I hope you are having fun planning your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort! Your 60 day window to begin making dining reservations and dining events is coming up and we want you to be ready to secure your venues. I certainly want you to be able to make an educated decision on which restaurants to select, so let me go over the two that you've mentioned.

    • Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace: this package will be available on select nights from November 10, 2023 until January 7, 2024. This is a wonderful option for your party if you want to get away from the crowds and view the fireworks from a more private setting above Tomorrowland. You are able to come and go as you please throughout the evening. You'll pick up your meal from Galactic Grill and walk with your tray over to the Terrace. You have a great view of the fireworks but you won't be able to see Sleeping Beauty Castle, so you won't be able to see any projections or experience the White Christmas finale of the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular. Also, audio for the nighttime spectacular is not directly piped in but you'll be able to hear it from the rest of Tomorrowland.
    • Plaza Inn: the Holiday dining package here currently offers reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. There are no fireworks viewing packages available through this location for the general Holiday Season. However, last year, Disneyland Park did offer a special New Year's Eve Dining Package which gave you reserved viewing for the special New Year's Eve fireworks spectacular. It was only offered on December 31 and advertised itself as a "Roaring 20s" dining experience. Doesn't that sound awesome?! If you are interested this, I would recommend checking early and often, because it will sell out quickly!

Emmicah, if I had my pick and you don't mind the crowds, I would choose to view fireworks from a viewing location closer to Sleeping Beauty Castle if possible. If you are able to reserve Plaza Inn for New Year's Eve, that would be the ultimate way to ring in 2024! However, if you value a more private setting away from crowds, the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace may be what you seek. You'll have to decide what's more important for your Holiday trip.

That was a lot of information but I hope that it was helpful for you, Emmicah. If you have any more questions leading up to your trip, please reach out again to me or any of my pals at planDisney!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
