Hello Teylor,
Thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney! Your inquiry reminds me of Remy looking to find the perfect ingredient for his recipe. He knew saffron would really make his creation shine, and it sounds like you feel the same about this horseradish mustard.
I'm a foodie at heart, so trust me, I can appreciate your desire to enjoy a taste of
Disneyland Paris back in your own kitchen. I reached out to a member of the chat Dream Team, but unfortunately, they weren't able to point me in the right direction. They advised speaking with one of the servers in person on your next visit to confirm the details as brands and ingredients can vary from time to time. I've heard instances of house recipes being shared when guests asked similar questions about their favorite items at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort in the US. I can't guarantee you'll crack any top-secret recipes, but it never hurts to ask.
I did a little online hunt of my own and tracked down several different brands of horseradish mustard that might be able to keep you satisfied until your next visit. Here in the US, Schaller & Weber offers a Dusseldorf Horseradish Mustard as does Weber's Brand which is apparently Heintz & Weber Co., Inc.'s most popular product. Edmond Fallot Horseradish Dijon Mustard is another popular French brand that might just make your next meal sing, and you might try Bornibus Horseradish Mustard which is said to pair well with Brie and Cambazola cheese.
Teylor, I'm sorry I couldn't get you the answer straight from the chef but I hope these suggestions will be a good substitute. I'd also like to recommend following Disney Eats on the
Disney Parks Blog as you'll find fan-favorite recipes shared from time to time. In the meantime, please come back and see us again with more questions, and remember, "Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great."
Bon appétit!
Amy
