Hi Evan,
Welcome to planDisney! Aren't you SO EXCITED that The Happiest Place on Earth has opened its gates again and we can think about soaking up all of the magic and fun?
The great news for you is that Disney recently announced that
out-of-state Guests can begin planning their vacations and may visit Disneyland Resort on or after June 15th; the California residency restriction will no longer be in place! Since it sounds like your trip is going to be in July, that means you have a green light to
make your reservations and
buy your tickets! And the really great news?
All of the
Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will be open by July 2nd, although capacity will still be reduced!
If, however, you were hoping to squeeze in a visit sooner than June 15th, you'll need to hold off just a bit longer. The address on file in your
Disney account needs to represent your true residence, plus you need to confirm during the ticketing and reservation process that you're a California resident and be prepared to show proof of residency at the gate. Only California residents are permitted to enter the parks prior to June 15th; the rest of us need to wait just a couple more weeks.
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Evan! I'm sending pixie dust that your vacation comes together perfectly and you have a truly magical time!
Missy
