Hello, Eric!
Thanks for bringing your
Disneyland Resort question to us here at
planDisney. It sounds like you’re busy getting all your pixie-dusted plans in order!
The
Park Hopper option is great because it gives you access to both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park throughout each day of your visit. Moving back and forth between the two adjacent theme parks is the best way to maximize your time and fit as much magic into your days as possible, especially when you check the attraction wait times available in the
Disneyland mobile app!
No, you can’t add the
Park Hopper option to just one day of a multi-day
theme park ticket. Whether you add it on at the time of purchase or upgrade later after you’ve already entered a theme park, the Park Hopper cost is added to the entire length of your ticket. If you’re thinking of upgrading, it makes the most financial sense to do it as soon as possible so you can start taking advantage of park hopping privileges at the beginning of your trip. I did some calculations for you, and adding the Park Hopper option to a 3-Day Ticket would still cost significantly less than purchasing a 2-Day One Park Per Day Ticket and a 1-Day Park Hopper Ticket separately.
I hope this information helps, Eric, and that your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is filled with many magical memories! Please don’t hesitate to
write back with more questions as your vacation draws near.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
