Well, hello, Jo! Welcome to planDisney. We're glad you stopped by! Scheduling a character meal is a great way to meet all your favorite Disney pals without waiting in line. My family regularly plans character breakfasts at 9:30 or 10:00 am; that way, we spend the early morning hours in the parks when the attraction lines are shortest. By mid-morning, we're hungry and ready for a break!
Currently, Disneyland Resort has four
character dining experiences. Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, located at the
Plaza Inn inside
Disneyland Park, is the only one that offers outdoor dining. The large outdoor patio provides a great view of
Main Street, U.S.A. While there's no guarantee that you'll get an outside table, the Cast Members often accommodate guests who prefer al fresco dining. When you check-in at the podium, let them know your request and that you're willing to wait if needed. This is a very popular restaurant, so I recommend reserving it online up to 60 days in advance. Since the Plaza Inn is in the park, a ticket and a
park reservation are required for entry.
As the hostess with mostest, Minnie likes to welcome her diners and will pose for pictures out on the patio. Your
PhotoPass photo downloads from the meal are included, so link your photos to your
Disneyland Mobile app. You are also allowed to take pictures with your devices. One of the best things about having breakfast at the Plaza Inn is the
Minnie waffles (they are even better if you top them with a dollop of caramelized bananas foster). When you go inside for the buffet, take a moment to look at the upscale, Victorian decor. Lillian Disney, Walt's wife, handpicked many of the restaurant's authentic 19th-century interior furnishings.
Have a magical vacation, Jo! Please stop back if there's anything else you need. See ya real soon!
