Will Disneyland be celebrating the 100th ann in Jan 2024? I've never been only to DW and I wanted to go to Disneyland this year but couldn't afford it. I'm trying to book for Jan 2024 but want to go only is the 100th is going on

    Hi Theresa,

I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question! It sounds like you are dreaming of a wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort, and I’m here for it! Even though I call Walt Disney World Resort home, I understand your desire to visit Walt Disney’s Happiest Place on Earth during the special Disney100 Celebration

When the Disney100 Celebration was announced on the Disney Parks Blog, no ending date was given, and we still don’t know if there is an official date set. I checked with Cast Members and found that they aren’t sure either. Their hunch is that you will still find the Disney100 Celebration ongoing through January 2024 since previous anniversary celebrations typically run for 15-18 months. However, dates are subject to change without notice, and I wouldn’t want you to be disappointed if the celebration comes to a close before your arrival, so I recommend that you either check back after the first of the year or keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for official announcements.

Theresa, even if the celebration is officially over, the magic it created will still linger at Disneyland Resort! For instance, in Disneyland Park, Mickey’s Toontown was completely reimagined, including Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, in honor of the celebration. The Disney Gallery on Main Street, U.S.A., features The Disney Gallery Presents: Disney 100 Years of Wonder, which offers a glimpse into the storytelling origins of Disneyland Resort attractions. I would imagine that many other special touches will remain for some time.

I wish I had a definitive answer, but I hope this information will help you as you make your vacation planning decisions. Please feel free to write back with other questions you may have.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
