Welcome to planDisney, Lauren! Ending your Disney day with a nighttime spectacular is pure magic, and I’m happy to help you decide which experience will be just right for you!
The
Disneyland Daily Events Schedule currently lists showtimes through April 6, and while updates should appear by March 12, nighttime spectaculars typically follow a set rhythm. Fireworks usually light up the sky on Friday through Sunday outside of summer months, while Monday through Thursday, you’ll still find nighttime entertainment. Currently, it is
Mickey’s Mix Magic, which offers a dazzling experience with projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, the façade of “it’s a small world,” and along Main Street, U.S.A. If you haven’t seen Mickey’s Mix Magic before, get ready for a high-energy, 10-minute extravaganza featuring lively projections, lasers, and lights that transform the park into a dance party! I highly recommend grabbing a spot on Main Street, where you’ll be surrounded by vibrant colors, electrifying music, and shimmering special effects that bring the magic to life in every direction.
Lauren, your visit aligns with the much-anticipated
Seasons of the Force at Disneyland, a limited-time celebration that promises galactic treats, special entertainment, and must-have Star Wars merchandise. The Disney Parks Blog recently revealed exciting news: Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, a brand-new nighttime projection show, will debut on March 28! Imagine the spires of Batuu glowing with breathtaking projections set to the legendary score of John Williams. It’s shaping up to be an absolute must-see for any Star Wars fan.
Over at Disney California Adventure, your trip coincides with the final weeks of
World of Color – One, the stunning nighttime spectacular in Paradise Bay at Pixar Pier. This show celebrates the legacy of the Walt Disney Company’s films, and for me, the Avengers sequence is a standout. I get chills watching our favorite heroes step through portals in an awe-inspiring moment of cinematic magic. Be sure to join the virtual queue to secure a reserved viewing spot for the 9:00 PM performance, but keep in mind that this area is standing-room only.
As you can see, Lauren, even on nights without fireworks, there’s no shortage of nighttime wonder at the Disneyland Resort. Keep an eye on the Daily Events Schedule for updates, as showtimes are subject to change. And if you have any more questions or need extra tips, we’d love to see you again here at planDisney!
Wishing you a magical trip,
David
