Greetings, Marcos! Congrats on enrolling in the mobile Drivers License (mDL) program for California! I'm excited to see more people use this and definitely see the ease and convenience of a mobile ID. I was so excited to see this pilot program launch because everything else is on our phones! I can understand your desire to have one less item to carry and am happy to shed more light on the identification that is accepted by the
Disneyland Resort.
For all
Southern California residency and identification checks, guests will need to have a valid government-issued photo ID in the form of a physical card or passport book. Temporary forms of identification are not accepted. There is nothing indicating a mobile or digital ID anywhere in the Park guidelines. However, I did some research and see that since this is a pilot program, per the CA DMV website, it states that usage is restricted to participating airports only and users will need to keep their physical Driver's License or ID on person as law enforcement, government agencies and businesses (which I interpret include Disney) are not yet accepting them. If you search "mDL" on the CA DMV government site, you can read more about the program and where you can use the license. You can always contact
Guest Ticket Services to inquire further. I do recommend aligning with the guidelines listed on the CA DMV website and keeping your physical ID on hand.
There are so many things happening
this year at the resort, the fun is just beginning! I hope that you're able to visit the Parks sooner rather than later so you can experience the Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to check the calendar availability for theme park reservations and if you're able to visit between March 1 - April 22,
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival will be back! You'll definitely need your ID if you're of age and choose to partake in spirited cocktails throughout the park!
Well Marcos, I wish you the best and hope you're able to have an adventure at Disneyland Resort soon!
Magic awaits!
