Hello again, Wanda, and welcome back to planDisney!
We sure do love seeing you back here and I'm thrilled to find that you'll be traveling to the West Coast to visit the Disneyland Resort! I love welcoming Walt Disney World Resort veterans to Walt's original Park. There's just something special about Disneyland Park and you can still see his hand in the design choices and layout of this Park.
Reservations windows were just extended to 180 days in advance for regular
Theme Park Ticket holders, so you should have been able to make your reservations. They are released on a rolling basis, so perhaps there was a slight delay in their rollout. When I now check the
Reservation Calendar, your dates are open for both 1 Park Per Day and Park Hopper Tickets. You should be able to make your reservations if you check again. However, if you are a Magic Key Holder, please note that reservations are still only available up to 90 days in advance.
When you purchase tickets through the
Disneyland website, reservations are automatically created for you at Checkout. One common error I see is that guests are trying to make reservations when they already hold a reservation for that day, thus causing the date to appear grayed out. You can check your currently held reservations by going to
Ticket and Reservation Details and clicking on "Make or Modify Park Reservations."
Don't forget to make your
dining reservations 60 days in advance! If I ever see an open slot for
Lamplight Lounge or
Blue Bayou Restaurant, I would book that immediately! If you want to see a piece of Park history, go into the foyer of
The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and you'll see the park bench on which Walt Disney was sitting when he conceived of Disneyland Park! And of course, that attraction features one of Walt's favorite Presidents!
Wanda, I hope that you are able to make your reservations without issue and, as always, please return if you have any more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'll see ya real soon! Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
