Can you use the DisneyBand+ at Ports or do you have to use the card.

    Welcome aboard planDisney, David!

How exciting is it to be in the final countdown to your Disney Cruise Line vacation?! You must be checking off your packing list, so let me help you get on your way.

When you debark and embark at ports, your Key to the World Card and photo ID (for Guests 18 and older) are still required. On my last cruise, I was so excited to get my toes in the sand at Disney Castaway Cay that I forgot my Key to the World Card and had to run upstairs (literally!) to retrieve it to debark. So, even at Disney's private slice of paradise, you will need your card. One tidbit to remember, when you arrive at the port terminal to begin your cruise, have your DisneyBand+ charged and available so the terminal agents can activate the band and allow you to use it to board the ship (in US ports only).

On board the ship, your DisneyBand+ offers conveniences such as charging specialty food and merchandise to your stateroom folio and entering your stateroom hands-free. So, when you have your hands full of souvenir purchases and a specialty beverage from Cove Café, you can open your door with ease (yes, I'm speaking from experience)! I also love how the band lights up during Rotational Dining shows and Deck Parties. The band will also alert you to special events happening around you on the ship so you don't miss these fun moments.

You are going to have a great time at sea, David! Thanks, again, for sailing by planDisney, and we hope to "sea" ya again real soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
