Hi Aretha!
The
holidays at
Walt Disney World are incredibly magical. The gorgeous park grounds are transformed into a winter wonderland with specially decorated trees, Mickey Mouse wreaths, and red bows as bright as the one Minnie Mouse wears!
All of the Walt Disney World theme parks,
Resort Hotels, and
Disney Springs are uniquely designed. For instance,
Disney's Animal Kingdom decorates a giant Christmas tree, located right outside of the front gate, with animal ornaments and nature-inspired decor.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is decorated with such elegance and opulence, similar to the theme of the resort. One merrymaking holiday activity is to tour the various Walt Disney World Resorts to appreciate the unique theming and decor. Make sure to stop by the life-sized gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Their gingerbread shingles are delicious!
My favorite place to visit during the
holidays is EPCOT. Holidays Around the World Showcase offers a fun and educational experience to learn about holiday celebrations in different countries. I love trying the special treats from around the world. I especially love the
holiday cookie stroll and getting stamps on my Festival Passport for all of the foods I try!
You also won't want to miss the
holiday celebration at Disney Springs. This year they had hundreds of decorated Christmas trees and I had so much fun walking around and discovering them all (while also eating Wetzel's Pretzels and shopping of course!).
Disney's Magic Kingdom has traditionally held Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, although the event was not held the past couple of years due to the adjustment of operations to ensure the
health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Last year,
Disney Very Merriest After Hours was held. There has not yet been an announcement regarding the holiday celebration for this year. However, I encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates.
Disney's Hollywood Studios has my favorite Christmas decorations, as they have a nostalgic 1950s feel. You can also enjoy Minnie's Seasonal Dining at
Hollywood & Vine, a Frozen Sing-Along Celebration Holiday Show, and Santa Claus making an appearance during a merry motorcade.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
