Hi Danielle! Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
How exciting that you will be visiting during the
holiday season! There is no place that celebrates the holidays quite like Walt Disney World Resort. There seems to be an extra sprinkle of magic everywhere you go!
Danielle, the
Candlelight Processional is my very favorite Christmas event
ever. A
celebrity narrator tells the story of the first Christmas, while accompanied by an orchestra and a mass choir composed of volunteer Cast Members and school choirs. I have seen this beautiful show several times, and each time I am moved to tears by the incredible music. My family and I spent the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort a couple of years ago, and for me, the Candlelight Processional was the highlight of the trip.
The show is not necessarily geared toward adults; we brought our children when we have attended over the years. I just asked my own son, who was 13 at the time of our last visit, and he enjoyed the show very much.
Danielle, whether or not your boys will find the show fun and exciting will depend on their personalities and if you think they will enjoy the traditional Christmas carols. More to the point, I think it will be fun and exciting for
you. I'm sure you have planned lots of
activities your boys will enjoy; don't forget parents are on vacation too! Make sure you plan some things for yourself.
The Candlelight Processional is included with your admission to
Epcot; no additional ticket is needed. For guaranteed seating, reserve a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Dining Package Guests are admitted into the theater ahead of the standby line.
Have a wonderful visit, and please let us know if you have any additional questions. Merry Christmas!
Anne Marie
