Does Disney World resorts specifically the cabins at Fort wilderness provide assistance for disabled?

    Howdy, Bruce!

Welcome back to planDisney! It’s so nice to see you stop by again, and I’m especially excited to hear you’ll be returning to the Most Magical Place on Earth so soon after our last chat. With so much magic waiting around every corner at Walt Disney World, it’s always fun to help Guests plan their next visit, and I’m so happy to help!

A stay at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort sure sounds like a rootin’-tootin’ good time! This rustic retreat is full of charm and adventure, with towering pines, winding trails, and plenty of wide-open spaces to explore. Between horseback riding, campfires under the stars, and all the outdoor recreation around the resort, there’s so much to see and do that Fort Wilderness practically feels like a vacation all on its own.

All Disney Resorts are designed with accessibility in mind, including accessible paths of travel from arrival areas to the lobby and other key locations throughout the resort. They also offer a variety of accessible Guest rooms, and that includes The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

At Fort Wilderness, one-bedroom mobility-accessible cabins are available and can be booked with either a wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a tub or a roll-in shower, depending on your preference when making your reservation. These cabins also include hearing accessibility features. Each accessible cabin comfortably sleeps up to six Guests and includes one queen bed, one queen-size pull-down bed, and a set of bunk beds. For added convenience, the accessible cabins are equipped with a ramp to make entry and exit easier.

During your stay at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, I highly recommend making reservations for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This beloved dinner show has been entertaining Guests for decades and is one of the most lively experiences you’ll find anywhere at Walt Disney World.

Bruce, I hope this helps as you get ready to saddle up for your upcoming trip. If any other questions ride into town while you’re planning, you know where to find us…right here at planDisney, always happy to lend a hand!

Happy trails until we meet again,
