Welcome to planDisney, Taylor! We are glad you brought your question to us.
How exciting that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a few days away! There are so many great
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, each with its own ambiance and amenities. Choosing a split stay is almost like having two vacations in one!
I am happy to let you know that Bell Services is currently providing luggage transfers between resorts. On the day you'll be
checking out of your first resort, drop off your bags with Bell Services prior to 11:00 am. Then when you
check in to your new resort hotel, simply pick them up at the Bell Services location there. Keep in mind that it may take several hours for your things to arrive at your new resort, so keep with you anything you may need for the day. Also, be aware that Bell Services cannot transfer any perishable items. If you need assistance getting luggage to or from your room, Bell Services can help you with that as well.
On my family's last visit, we chose to take a day "off" from the theme parks on the day we switched resorts. We dropped off our bags and headed over to
Disney Springs for breakfast (OK, it was cookies and cold brew from
Gideon's Bakehouse. That counts as breakfast on vacation, right??) and shopping before heading to our new resort. Because we planned to be at the new resort prior to check-in time, we kept our swimsuits with us so we could spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool.
Although there is no fee for luggage transfers, it is customary to tip Bell Services for handling your bags.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a wonderful vacation!
