Hi there, Katie!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question for us.
I completely understand your concern, as things are rapidly changing during these uncertain times. I recently returned from a quick trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth as I went to watch
Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular before its last showing on September 29th, and I’m happy to discuss the measures Walt Disney World Resort is taking to ensure Guest and Cast Member safety.
Katie, currently, physical distancing is not required, and the markers that were once placed to ensure social distancing in the attraction queues have been removed. You will find that
face masks are required for all Guests ages 2 and up in all indoor locations, regardless of vaccination status. These areas include indoor queues, and restaurants, except when actively eating or drinking while being stationary. They are also required while on all Disney transportation, including buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner. Face coverings are optional in all outdoor areas, including outdoor attractions, queues, and outdoor theaters. Of course, this is subject to change at any time as Disney continues to monitor and update its guidelines.
We hope to welcome you to the magic when you feel comfortable visiting, Katie!
