    Disney World planning DVD

    Welcome, foolish mortal, to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to chat about your upcoming vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the spookiest time of year. I bet you can’t wait to “fall” into the magic!

    Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort no longer mails out vacation planning DVDs or materials to Guests. Hakuna matata (no worries), because everything you need to plan your magical vacation is available online. Start by visiting the vacation planning webpage, which gives an overview of the puzzle pieces that make up a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. When you’re ready to start booking your trip, this is the order I recommend you do things in:

    1. Decide which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you want as your home away from home. The planDisney Disney Resort Hotel Pocket Guides are a great resource to learn about what each Resort has to offer and can help you narrow down your choices.
    2. Purchase theme park tickets for the number of days you wish to visit the theme parks during your trip. If you want the ability to visit more than one park in a day, then you should consider adding on the Park Hopper Option. Then, make Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass system for each day you plan on visiting the theme parks.
    3. Explore the array of dining options on property so you are ready to make Advanced Dining Reservations for your vacation 60 days in advance. Guests of Disney Resort hotels can make dining reservations for the length of their stay (up to 10 days) at the 60-day mark, so it’s best to have your choices narrowed down.
    4. Get to know the My Disney Experience mobile app. It’s truly your key to the kingdom and will have everything you need to map out the magical details of your trip. I especially love the interactive map feature, because it tells the location of nearby Character Experiences and Disney PhotoPass spots, as well as attraction wait times and so much more!
