Hi Anabel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Yes!! Walt Disney World Resort is open 365 days a year, including all major holidays. What could be better than celebrating the magic of the Christmas season with the magic of Walt Disney World? Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are actually very popular days to visit!
My family and I had the opportunity to vacation at Walt Disney World Resort over the Christmas holidays a couple of years ago. It was certainly a different way for our family to celebrate, as we are used to big extended-family holiday celebrations at home, but we had the BEST time! We visited
Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day, and found crowds first thing in the morning surprisingly light. It did get busier later in the day, and we
so enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
One great perk to visiting on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve is that entertainment that is normally exclusive to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party such as
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and
A Frozen Holiday Wish are performed daily for all Guests.
I love indulging in all the seasonal treats and goodies that can be found during the holiday season, such as traditional
Bûche de Noël au Chocolat at the Holiday Kitchen in the France pavilion at
Epcot. Also at Epcot is the
Candlelight Processional, an absolutely beautiful retelling of the first Christmas. The incredible music moves me to tears each and every time I see this wonderful show. For me, this is the absolute highlight of a Christmas visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
Anabel, my friends and I at the Disney Parks Moms Panel have LOTS of tips and advice for visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the
holiday season. Please feel free to ask us any additional questions you may have.
Enjoy your magical visit!
Anne Marie
