    Does Disney World offer the "First Time" buttons like Disneyland does? And if so do you get them at City Hall, like at Disneyland? My family is going for the first time ever next month!!!!!

    Welcome to planDisney, Jason! Congratulations on your upcoming first visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Our family likes to get celebration buttons each trip for any occasion that we're celebrating. When a Cast Member would acknowledge our children's first visits it made them feel so special. Those big, sweet smiles are magical memories I still treasure! You can pick up a complimentary "1st Visit" button at any Guest Relations location—including City Hall—or at the Front Desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. 

    Since this is your first visit, here are a few quick tips:

    • Pull up disneyworld.com or the Disney Parks Blog and read about the attractions at each park. You can even watch Virtual Disney Rides on the Disney Parks YouTube channel. Our family enjoys making a list of everyone's top picks and then we plan out our park days with everyone's "must-do" in mind.
    • Bring water and snacks with you to the parks. Keeping a few easy (and favorite) snacks on hand to have when you're taking a break is key. Staying hydrated is also a must since Florida can be quite warm.
    • Pack 2-3 face coverings for the parks so that you can swap them out during the day and wash the ones you wear at night. Starting the day in a fresh mask will keep everyone smiling underneath.
    • Remember that you're on vacation. While there is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World, this is a time to have fun! Make sure you plan some downtime between attractions to enjoy the magic found throughout the parks. Disney's attention to detail can make something as simple as eating Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars while watching Dumbo fly in Fantasyland become a fun family tradition. One of ours is actually having soft-serve ice cream at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland. I LOVE the Citrus Swirl!
    • If you're visiting Epcot during your trip, do not miss the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. We love to experience the breathtaking topiaries, delicious Outdoor Kitchens, and live entertainment!
