    We are going to be at Disney World in mid-July and are not staying at a Disney World resort hotel. We thought about buying our theme park tickets when we get there, but I want to know if the tickets are cheaper online. Are the tickets higher at the gate?

    Hi Carrie, 

    If you're buying direct from Disney, the ticket prices are the same whether you purchase online, at a Disney Store, or at the park gates. There are, however, a few independent ticket sellers where you can get a small discount.

    There are two places to start your investigation of lower park admission prices. The first is the website touringplans.com. Touring Plans has a resource called the "Disney World Ticket Calculator" which compares prices from many different sources. The other is a website called mousesavers.com. Mouse Savers lists all the Disney discounts available and often includes resources for lower cost tickets. If there are ticket discounts available online, those two sites will know about them.
