Hi! We will be at Disney World in less than 2 weeks and was wondering if guests not staying at a resort can still visit a resort without a dining reservation. We want to visit AKL but wasn't sure if it is possible considering current situation.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Jean!

I am ecstatic to hear that you will be returning to the magic in two short weeks!  This festive season is my favorite time of year to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth.  Holidays at Walt Disney World are the BEST!

One of my favorite sights during Christmastime are the decorations at the resort hotels, especially the lobby of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I am so sorry to drop a lump of coal in your stocking, but this beautiful resort hotel will not be open during your visit.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is currently open as part of Walt Disney World's phased reopening.  To visit this resort, and any others during your stay, you do need to have a confirmed room reservation or confirmed dining reservation under Walt Disney World's current health and safety guidelines.  These are subject to change, so be sure to take a peek at the resort experience updates before you travel.

If you are looking for extra festive experiences during your visit, be sure to guide your sleigh to Disney Springs.  The Christmas Tree Stroll and Holiday Scavenger Hunt are great ways to shop and find some magic along the way!  For more information on the pixie dust you can pull from Santa's sack during your vacation, visit us again at planDisney, Jean!

    Happy holidays!  Angie
