I've never been to Disney World and will be going later this year. I was thinking of doing a 8 day 1 park per day ticket but, would it better to do a 4 day and then buy tickets at the gate, in case I don't want to do a certain park twice? Thanks

    Hi Kristi,

I am so excited you will be taking your first vacation to Disney World. It is such a magical place and I know you will have a great time. One of the best ways to experience Disney World is by staying at a Disney World Resort hotel so you can be fully immersed in the magic. You will also be able to utilize the complimentary transportation and all of the benefits offered only to resort guests.

If you are staying onsite at a Disney World Resort hotel, I highly recommend leaving at least one day to explore and relax at your resort. Resort days can be a nice way to chill and get some respite from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. All of the resorts also have several activities and amenities that are not to be missed.

Theme park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable so any unused days will expire if you do not use them. If you are not certain you will use all of the days of a ticket, I recommend only buying the number of days you will use for sure. If you decide once you are there that you would like to add more days to your current ticket it is really simple. You can go to Guest Services and they will add days to your current ticket. This is much cheaper than buying another ticket.

You can also add days to your ticket in the My Disney Experience app. This feature is accessible by clicking the three lines on the bottom right corner of the app and navigating to "My Tickets and Passes." Your ticket should show up and underneath it will be the option to "Upgrade Pass." Just add days and keep enjoying your time at Disney World.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
