    I was at Disney World last December and got a magic band. I am planning on coming in May 2018 with another party. Do I have to get another magic band or can I use the one I have?

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I consider myself a collector of MagicBands so I would certainly never turn one down, especially if your older version is the first generation!

    The new MagicBand 2 are lighter and thinner, but have the exact same functionality as the one you currently have. With that being said, if your original band is still in working condition  you can certainly reuse your previous MagicBand! If the new party is staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, a new MagicBand is included in the purchase of your stay so there is no harm in getting a new one. I will sometimes bring multiple MagicBands with me to coordinate with each days outfit! I realize this is a tad excessive, but it's fun so why not?!

    If you have multiple MagicBands you can manage them in your My Disney Experience account so just make sure the one(s) you bring are activated so you can use them during your stay. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
