Springtime greetings, Adrienne, and welcome to planDisney! In just a week, you'll be hopping around the Most Magical Place on Earth and celebrating the sights and sounds of spring and the joyous celebration of Easter Sunday! It's going to be a magical visit, for sure!
At this time, there has been no announcement of a Catholic Easter Mass being hosted at the Walt Disney World Resort; however, my panelist pal
Elaine recently shared that there have been signs posted around the Walt Disney World Resort advising Guests of the opportunity to celebrate Easter Mass at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Basillica, a Catholic church that is about two miles away from Disney property. This particular church is near to my heart as it is the church my family would frequent in my childhood when we would travel to Walt Disney World. The Easter mass times for 2024 at St. Mary Queen of the Universe will be at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 12 PM; the 10 AM mass will also be livestreamed from the church's website.
While you are visiting, be sure to check out some of the
egg-citing offerings that center around the Easter holiday - from the Easter egg displays at select Disney Resorts to the Easter Egg-Stravaganza Hunt in EPCOT, and a chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny in Magic Kingdom Park, there is a lot of seasonal magic to be found! You can read more about these events, and some other
top tips for springtime magic from a variety of panelists to help you prepare for your visit!
And of course, we can't forget the center of springtime magic - the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Delight in the sights, smells, and snacks of the season at this event; it's my favorite EPCOT festival and I can't wait to be there myself in just two more days! Look for me in the Butterfly Garden or snapping photos with all of the character topiaries!
Wishing you a magical vacation and a joyous Easter Sunday, Adrienne! If you have any other questions before your arrival, we welcome you to
come back and ask us anytime - we're happy to hop to it and get you an answer!
Hoppy Planning,
Alison
