We are going to Disney World with another family, but they arrive the day after we do. Can I buy their Lightning Lanes at the same time as my own even though they will be a day behind in eligibility?

    Hi Laurel,

Welcome to planDisney. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are the perfect way to make the most of your Disney adventure, ensuring your family experiences more magic, more rides, and more unforgettable attractions during your trip! I have used this system on all of my recent trips and find that it is easy to navigate and makes planning around advanced dining reservations and other plans super simple.

One of the many perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel is the early access to these magical passes. Starting 7 days before the first day of your stay, you can purchase and reserve Lightning Lane passes for the length of your trip, up to 14 days! At 7:00 AM EST on that magical morning, the doors to planning your adventure will open, letting you secure your spot in the fun.

If others in your party are arriving on a different start date for their Disney Resort stay, they will have their own window to reserve passes. Their booking window will open 7 days before the first day of their Resort stay. While you won’t be able to book their passes at the same time as yours, don’t worry because the My Disney Experience app makes it easy for everyone to join the fun! Simply coordinate with them once their booking window opens. Choose the same Lightning Lane time slots you’ve already reserved for your family, and voilà, they will be able to join you in the Lightning Lane queue for those magical experiences.

Prior to both booking windows opening up, go ahead and confirm that you are attached as Family and Friends in the My Disney Experience app so you can see each other's plans. This will make it easy once the second booking window opens up to coordinate without even talking to each other. I recently did this with a group of friends and it worked pretty seamlessly!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
