We will be at Disney World during the Princess Marathon weekend 2023. This is our first time! Any suggestions as to which park (HS, Epcot, MK) we should go to on what day? Any tips to help navigate this weekend smoothly? Thanks!

    Hi Terelle!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

I love visiting Walt Disney World during Princess Half Marathon Weekend! The Princess Half Marathon, which is held on Sunday, February 26, starts and ends at EPCOT. Runners make their way through EPCOT and Disney's Magic Kingdom for 13.1 miles. If you are visiting the park directly after running, EPCOT is a great choice because you will already be there!

I typically like to go back to my Walt Disney World Resort Hotel after the race to shower, rest, and grab a bite to eat. If you wait until around 2 or 3 PM, the race crowds die down a bit. I recommend visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom for smaller crowds.

The 10K is held on Saturday, February 25, and takes place at EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I recommend visiting Magic Kingdom on this day.

Other tips to navigate the weekend smoothly are to use the Walt Disney World complimentary bus transportation, especially to and from the races, for the most smooth start to race day. Also, given the road closures due to the races, it's even more important to use Disney transportation.

    Magically,
    Stacy
