We are going to Disney World Dec. 5-11. Should we avoid the parks on extra magic hour days or are crowds light enough during this time it doesn't matter.

    Kelli,

At that time of year you should not avoid Extra Magic Hours, but use them to your advantage.

I agree that avoiding Extra Magic Hours (especially morning ones) during the busier park times of the year is a good strategy. By going elsewhere, you avoid the guaranteed largest crowds.

But during slower times of the year, like the first three weeks of December, you should not have that problem, and the Extra Magic Hours simply give you more time in the parks. Especially the evening ones! The only possible exception is on a Saturday or a Sunday, when weekend crowds can still be significant.

    Have a magical vacation!
