I will be going to Disney world in couples of weeks, I was wondering what is the backpack policy for roller coasters, is there lockers available near rides that do not allow a personal item? Are they free if not how much is the cost?

    Hi there, Veronica!

Can you believe you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days? You'll be enjoying the BOO-tiful Halloween decor, delicious food options and all the attractions before you know it. You must be about to burst with excitement! I know I would be!

You asked a great question about what to do with your backpack while you whiz around the galaxy in Space Mountain, go on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and climb the Himalayan Mountains to find the Yeti on Expedition Everest. The good news I have for you is that you can take your backpack with you on all these attractions (and all the others!) as long as it's not larger than 24"L x 15"W x 18"H. I carry one almost every time I visit the theme parks and always have plenty of space for it in my seat. There will be no need to budget for a locker unless you want a break from your bag. If that is the case, there are locker rentals available in all four theme parks for your convenience.

Veronica, since you asked about backpacks, I like to carry my cell phone, portable phone chargers, sunscreen, sunglasses, ponchos, water and a few snacks for waiting in line. These park essentials help get my family through the day when we visit. And don't forget your autograph books and pens for signing!

Safe travels and have a magical time!
