Hi Nency!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for bringing us your question about Dining Plans!
My family and I use the
Disney Dining Plan every time we visit the
Walt Disney World Resort. We just love the flexibility, independence and convenience it offers to everyone in our party. Converting a table-service entitlement into snack credits will be at the sole direction of the manager of the shop you are visiting. I have done it myself several times and they normally do it all at once and at the time you are purchasing the items you want to get. For instance, I had two table-service entitlements left over and they were changed into six snacks that I brought home, PEZ candy dispensers, Rice Krispy treats, Goofy's Candy Co. character gummies, etc. that served as great souvenirs for those back home who didn't get to go on the trip! I had to pick all six items at once as they could not run separate transactions.
Even though I think Disney-themed packaged snacks are the best souvenirs one can bring back home, I honestly do not think they are the best use of your money. Are you sure you do not want to book an extra
character meal? Please remember,
Dining Plans are available to use from time of check-in at your Resort hotel until midnight on your day of departure. I always grab some food at a counter-service location in my resort hotel and bring it with me to the airport (I obviously make sure I eat it before going through TSA)!
Nency, I hope you will be coming back with more and more questions about your trip. We will be happy to help you plan your unforgettable vacation!
See ya real soon!
