When does Disney world do the change over from Halloween decor to Christmas decor?

    Happy Early Holiday Greetings Nicole!

You had me at Fall and Christmas! The two seasons are honestly some of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort! The Fall is everything pumpkin spice, over-sized pumpkins, and candy; while Christmas is full of chEAR with gingerbread displays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Resort resplendent in its holiday attire!

My daughter’s birthday is the second week of November. Last yEAR we stayed at Disney’s Beach Club Resort for a combo of her celebration and my medical conference. We went to bed with fall decor around the Resort and woke up the next morning with a giant gingerbread house being constructed in the lobby! By the weekend, the hotel had transformed from frightfully festive to the most wonderful time of the yEAR! As my dEAR friend Wyatt pointed out, the transformation is usually complete by Thanksgiving.

When you visit during the holidays, make sure to take three of my favorite “trails!” The Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs is the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping. (You might even see a Halloween-themed Tree!). The Holiday Cookie Stroll at Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays is always on my kiddos’ must-do list (the Gingerbread Cookie at American Holiday Table is my favorite)! Finally, we do a self-guided tour of the Resorts during the holidays. From the life-sized Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to the magnificent tree at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge, the Resorts are my favorite source of holiday chEAR!

Nicole, I wish you a Very Merry Christmas.
