Going on Disney Wonder 4/8 with 13 year old daugter. I want to be able to relax alone as well as with her. Im nervous she wont make any friends and will want to spend time with me. How is it cruising alone with a 13 year old? What if there is an emergency

    Ahoy Chandra!

Your wondrous voyage is just a month away!  A Disney Cruise is the perfect vacation for you and your daughter to have family time as well as alone time!  On the first night of your cruise, make sure she spends time in Edge because there will be many other girls her age looking to make friends to hang out with while sailing the high seas!  The youth counselors have some fantastic activities planned for the tweens, and I am sure she is going to want to participate in many of them.  Some of the activities include craft time, dance time, sports, trivia, scavenger hunts, Kinect, and of course just time to chill!  I have a feeling she is going to be quite busy which should give you the time you need to lounge by the Quiet Cove Pool, pamper yourself at the spa, or enjoy a good book and coffee at Cove Cafe!  Each day you will receive a Personal Navigator which details all the activities planned for that particular day.  Bring along a highlighter so you can highlight the family activities you want to participate in and the Edge activities she doesn't want to miss!

Before the Wonder sets sail for the gorgeous Mexican Riviera, every Guest is required to participate in a Muster Drill.  This drill is brief, but it shows you where to go in case of an emergency at sea.  In the unlikely event of an emergency, make sure your daughter knows to meet you at this location.

I hope my answer helps ease your nerves.  Please let me know if I can assist you further with any other last minute questions.

Have a magical day and wonderful cruise vacation!

    Bon Voyage!
