Welcome aboard, Rebecca! I absolutely loved sailing on the Wonder from the very first time we experienced that ship years ago. Now, having sailed on it twice since it underwent an exciting re-imagination last fall, I've fallen in love with all of the new venues, experiences, and features on the newly refurbished ship!
I'm sorry that the Inside Staterooms on the Disney Wonder do not include the
Magical Portholes that are available on the Inside Staterooms on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream. I was hoping to see those during this upgrade too, but instead, the Imagineers focused on some really fun new venues around the ship. I cannot wait for you to experience the new restaurant,
Tiana's Place. My family and I had such fabulous dinners there with Tiana and her pal Louis, the alligator. The kids' menus arrived, shaped like various musical instruments, so the kids could play their menu trumpet as they marched around the restaurant in the Mardi Gras parade with Louis and Tiana. My husband and I really enjoyed the live band and New Orleans-style feel of the space, and of course the amazing food. Oh, the shrimp and grits were to die for! I actually got the recipe and am hoping to attempt to recreate it at home, but somehow I know it won't taste as heavenly as it did onboard!
You'll also enjoy the brand new
Adult Exclusive spaces and of course all of the
new Family Fun aboard the Disney Wonder. So, while you won't get to enjoy a Virtual Porthole in your Inside Stateroom on the Wonder, I promise that you are in for all sorts of new adventures.
Have fun planning, Rebecca! Please stop back if we can help with anything else before you set sail!
