Going on the Disney Wonder 1/21/18 out of San Juan. Arriving on 1/18 and staying at the Waldorf Conquistador for a few days prior to sailing. Trying to figure out most reasonable way/ price to do transfers. Looking for suggestions/ ideas.

Welcome aboard, Lisa! You've got such a magical trip in store when you set sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico on the Disney Wonder! I'm really glad that you'll be flying into San Juan to take a few days to experience the history and culture of that island before you set sail with Disney. It's a beautiful place to explore.

The last time I was there, my family and I stayed at El Conquistador, and I have the most amazing memories of that resort. The funicular that takes guests up and down the cliffside is an adventure in itself! What a wonderful and gorgeous experience you'll have staying there! Normally, I'd suggest for guests sailing with Disney to make reservations at one of Disney Cruise Line's partner resorts before setting sail. In San Juan, they partner with the Caribe Hilton San Juan and the San Juan Marriott Resort. Guests staying at these resorts can take advantage of the optional Disney cruise transfers between the airport, resort and cruise terminal. That being said, since you've already got reservations at the gorgeous El Conquistador, you'll need to find a different way to get to the port.

Do call the resort and get some additional options from them, as I'm sure they work with cruise guests every day. However, a few transportation options there that I know about are the GO Puerto Rico Shuttle, which is a shared ride service, and is fairly economical compared to a taxi or private car. Another option is to rent a car from the Enterprise desk which is at El Conquistador and drive yourself. I checked, and they have a return spot not far from the cruise port. I believe they will give you a ride to the port from their offices, but do call to confirm this.

I hope those options help as you get ready to head out on this exciting adventure, Lisa!
