Ahoy, Darren!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can't think of a better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than at sea with Disney Cruise Line! I'm completely jealous that you'll have no crowds to fight at the grocery store, no long hours in the kitchen cooking, and no cleaning up afterward. The phenomenal chefs and fabulous
dining teams on the
Disney Wonder will be there to make sure you don't have to lift a finger during your sailing. Sounds WONDERful to me!
Disney always makes holidays extra magical, so you are in for a real treat this November.
When Disney Cruise Line designed accommodations for Guests, they had families in mind. The staterooms are not only some of the most spacious at sea, but they also offer excellent storage for everything you need to bring for your crew. You'll also find the split bath plan very helpful before bed and when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time. It looks like you've selected a
Deluxe Oceanview with Verandah in an excellent location between midship and aft on Deck 6. You aren't too far from the aft elevator and stairs, which you'll find very convenient. Your stateroom does sleep four with a queen bed, a single convertible sofa, and an upper berth pull-down (or bunk). Your stateroom host will take care of setting up the upper berth pull-down and ladder each evening and will place it back into the ceiling every morning. There is a safety rail built-in, and one can also be requested for the convertible sofa. When my teens were younger, they fought over the pull-down, so we had to alternate nights to keep the peace. Now that they are older, we have to do the same, but they fight over who gets the convertible sofa!
Darren, best wishes for a WONDERful Thanksgiving with Disney Cruise Line. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. We'd love to help!
