Ahoy Lori!
Dining onboard a Disney Cruise is one of my favorite subjects! I don't love to cook so having all my meals and snacks prepared by the fantastic culinary team is such a treat when my family sets sail on one of our cruise vacations! Disney Cruise Line offers rotational dining each evening in their three spectacular
dining rooms-Triton's, Animator's Palate, and Parrot Cay. Since you will be sailing for seven evenings, your rotation will include visiting each restaurant twice and one three times. This is assigned a few weeks before you set sail and will be printed on your Key to the World card upon check in. We love the theming in all the restaurants and the variety of delicious cuisine served in each. Your dining servers will rotate with you so they will provide personalized, attentive service nightly. I also suggest enjoying a meal at
Palo, the adult-only dining restaurant onboard. Dinner is served nightly as well as a Champagne Brunch on sea days. The Northern Italian fare is delectable for both meals, and the Chocolate Souffle offered as a dessert during dinner is my absolute favorite sweet treat! Reservations can be made 75 days prior to cruising for new cruisers or on the first day of your voyage.
As far as seating times go, we have experienced both, but since the kids are older we tend to lean towards second seating. If you are planning on venturing ashore, it will give you more time before dinner to get ready. But, with being said, your nightly show will be scheduled prior to dinner (around 6:15) if you choose second seating.
I'm about out of room, Lori! I hope I've steered you in the right direction for your dining plans!
