    Hi there! We will be at Disney 1st wk in Feb celebrating my daughters 2nd bday! I have been reading about being the first family to open MK this would be so amazing! Any tips on how to have this honor? Thank you!!

    Hi, Stephanie!  This is really a case where the early bird MAY catch the worm.  The best advice I can give you is to get there as early as you possibly can - up to an hour or more before the park opens.  You want to be the first person at the turnstiles away from where they are letting people in to go to early morning dining reservations.

    And while we're talking about birds and worms and all sorts of things, another tip I can give you is that you'll catch more flies with honey.  Be warm, friendly, and chat with the cast members that are waiting to let the guests in.  Those are the people who are going to select the first family.  

    Some people say the further you are to the left of the breakfast crowd, the better your chances, others say matching shirts might help, but really, it's a very random thing.  You'll want them to take notice of you in a good way, but it really might not have anything to do with any of those things.
