Ahoy Rebecca,
Welcome back to planDisney! I have to admit I've been wondering the very same since the initial
Disney Wish itineraries were announced. The ship looks so magnificent I can understand why anyone would want to spend as many days as possible on board.
At this time,
Disney Cruise Line itineraries are available for booking through May 2024. While the Wish sailings all appear to be 3 and 4-night cruises, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that longer itineraries will eventually become available in years to come. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. There, you'll find details about future booking windows and itinerary updates as they're announced.
My family is currently booked on a 4-day Wish sailing this spring, and we've already started planning for a fun-filled voyage. We've made plans to enjoy
Senses Spa & Salon, and an adult-only dinner at
Enchanté, in addition to a relaxing sea day and a visit to
Disney Castaway Cay. Even though we'll only be on board for 4 nights, we have a great variety of activities planned, with plenty of downtime and verandah sunsets scheduled too. We'll be getting the magic started even before we sail by spending a few days at Walt Disney World Resort. These Land & Sea vacations have been a great fit for our family as we can balance the excitement of the parks with plenty of relaxation at sea. It really is the best of both worlds!
If you are looking into longer itineraries, I'd encourage you to check out the options on
Disney Fantasy which also currently sails from Port Canaveral. I've seen sailings ranging from 5 nights to 10 nights, some of which include
Pixar Day at Sea. We enjoyed a 7-night cruise on the Fantasy a few years back and were so impressed with the evening entertainment and the overall level of service, not to mention the incredible ports of call. My kids also had a blast trying to solve a mystery as part of the interactive
Midship Detective Agency, available exclusively on Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.
I'm wishing you calm seas and ocean breezes whenever you choose to set sail!
"Sea" you real soon,
Amy
