Hi Mary Beth,
You must be excited about your trip to the Walt Disney World Resorts!
I would first look at the activities at your resort. While all resorts have swimming, they may offer bike riding, trails to walk or fishing. Movies under the stars are offered at the Beach Club, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Wilderness Lodge and the Swan and Dolphin. Your resort will list the activities available to you and you can enjoy many activities the other resorts have to offer as a guest staying on property.
Ft. Wilderness has a small petting farm and pony rides you may want to spend part of the day at and then head to Mickey's Backyard Barbeque or Hoop Dee Doo Revue. You can even take a carriage ride as well. In addition, there is a campfire as well.
Over at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can look at the animals at night. With the cooler temperature, they like to come out to visit guests. Grab dinner at Boma and then treat yourself to a "wild" African safari.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
