Hi there Lynn! Thank you for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Walt Disney World Resort is breathtakingly beautiful during the
holiday season! Everywhere you look, there are beautiful decorations. I am always impressed by how the decorations are themed to each particular Resort Hotel or theme park area.
I'm glad to hear you are planning on attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - it will really get you in the Christmas spirit! There are lots of wonderful holiday shows and entertainment at the party, but my don't-miss recommendations are A Frozen Holiday Wish, when Cinderella Castle is transformed into a sparkling ice palace (jaw-droppingly gorgeous!) and the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade with its classic wooden soldiers.
While I enjoy the
holiday happenings all around Walt Disney World Resort, my very
favorite holiday event is the
Candlelight Processional. Each and every time I see this beautiful retelling of the story of the first Christmas, I am moved to tears by the incredible music. In my opinion, the Candlelight Processional is
the highlight of a holiday vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Tickets are not necessary to see the show; it is included with admission to
Epcot. Guests are not permitted to enter America Gardens Theater until shortly before each performance, but you will see guests queuing up outside the theater early in the day, especially for the most popular
celebrity narrators. There will actually be two lines forming; Guests who have purchased a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package are ushered into the theater ahead of the standby line. I highly recommend purchasing a dining package, as you then have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal and will be guaranteed seating for the performance.
Have the most wonderful time on your vacation! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We are always happy to help.
