Hello, I see on the Disney website that people with Fantasmic dinner backages are advised to show up 60-90 minutes early. Does this defeat the purpose of the plan? Thank you so much!

    Audrey,

I certainly understand why you would think so!

However the Fantasmic show has, of late, become more than a bit popular. While I used to recommend that you could get a seat as long as you were in line 45 minutes early, now it seems like that time is well over an hour.

With the Fantasmic dinner package you get a guaranteed seat in what is a pretty good vantage point. They are not the VERY best seats at the show, but they are pretty good.

The bottom line is that while you still have to wait in line for what I consider to be a pretty long time, if you get the dinner package you do get a reserved seat. But since there is only a single line (there used to be a separate one), they need you in line, as parading you past other line-waiters could cause a bit of an uproar. And when the non-dinner package seating is all full up, the Fantasmic waiters can still make it into the show.

Bottom line: If this show is a must, the dinner package makes a long wait a bit more tolerable.

    Have a magical vacation!
