We have the Disney Visa card were taking a look at the perks. We've read that there are restrictions on some of the restaurants (we're really looking at Biergarten). Any idea on the restrictions?

    Hi Samantha,

I also have a Disney Visa Card and I just love it!  One of the many great rewards and perks is a 10% discount at select dining locations at Walt Disney World.  To get the discount, you just need to mention the offer and use your Disney Visa Card or Disney Rewards Redemption card to pay.  Happily, Biergarten Restaurant at Epcot is one of the participating locations.  The restrictions you read about are related to some blackout dates when the discount isn't available.  I checked the Disney Rewards Card website and the specific dates for the rest of 2014 and 2015 aren't yet listed, but in the past they've included the following holidays: New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.  I think it's safe to assume that those restrictions will be the same, but if you'd like to confirm a specific date you can give the nice folks at Disney Visa Card a call at 800-300-8575 before your trip or inquire when you check in for your reservation.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Samantha!  Please write back if we can help answer any other questions.
